		Handy Pilot Font Editor II (version 2.4)	22-JUN-2007

This is a powerful program that you can use to design new Palm OS™ fonts or modify existing. The basic operation of the program involves importing fonts from your Palm handheld's memory, editing the font as you wish with undo and redo, and saving the font back to the Palm handheld's memory to multirecord database. You edit the fonts on a glyph-by-glyph basis. Many drawing tools are available to help you create exactly what you want. Test window allows you to display font by its original size in the multiline text filed. With help of clipboard you can scale glyph and convert it to text image to use in PILRC tools. Maximum glyph dimension is 127x127.

This is a set of command line tools for desktop computer that help to do most PalmOS(tm) font convertions:

flushfdb - Export font from records or resources of PalmOS(tm) databases.

fnttoprc - Link binary font to an PalmOS(tm) .prc resource database.

fnttopdb - Lets to build a PalmOS(tm) database from binary font resources.

fntscale - This utility allows to scale font glyphs by percent value.

fntv1to2 - Builds binary font resource version type 2 from version 1.

nfntafnx - Converts PalmOS(tm) raster font binary resources from NFNT to AFNX data format.

flushfv2 - Separates font version type 2 density parts.

pctofnt - Converts Intel(r) x86 raw font data and PSF files to PalmOS(tm) font resource.

fnttopc - Converts PalmOS(tm) resource file to PC Raw screen font or PSF v1 font file.
HPFE tools are open source software you may freely download online.
